DXF to EPS

Free online DXF to EPS converter. Convert DXF to EPS and get an EPS vector for print shops, sign makers, Illustrator and CorelDRAW. Reads lines, arcs, circles, polylines, text and layers, at real scale. Runs in your browser: nothing uploaded, no sign-up.

Runs in your browser · Nothing uploaded

Works with: AutoCAD · Fusion 360 · LibreCAD · QCAD · DraftSight

Drop several files at once to convert the whole folder in one pass. Got a different format? A PNG, JPG, HEIC, PDF, SVG or DXF still comes out as EPS.

How it works

  1. Upload the drawing

Read in the browser. Nothing is uploaded.

  2. Check units and extents

The checker reports what the file declares before you rely on it.

  3. Export

Units are written into the output so the next program does not have to guess.

DXF to EPS online: every line, arc and circle of the drawing becomes a vector path in the EPS, not a picture of it, so it prints sharp at any size in Illustrator, CorelDRAW or a print shop RIP. It is DXF to EPS free, a DXF to EPS converter free of sign-up, running in your browser.

The same drawing converts to the formats people ask for next: DXF to PDF, DXF to SVG, and DXF to AI (an Illustrator-compatible file from the same paths). From AutoCAD's own format, DWG to EPS works the same way.

Check the result in the EPS viewer before you send it: open the EPS and see every path.

Why it matters

Units survive the trip

The most common way a CAD interchange goes wrong is a file arriving with no declared units. Our DXF output always states them.

Extents reported, not assumed

The real drawing bounds are read from the geometry rather than trusted from a header that may be stale.

Entity types flagged

SPLINE, ELLIPSE, HATCH and TEXT are the entities that most often fail on import. They are reported before you find out at the machine.

Nothing uploaded

Client drawings stay on your machine, which matters when the work is under NDA.

Questions

Does DXF to EPS keep the drawing to scale?

Yes. Drawing units are kept, so a 100 mm line is 100 mm in the EPS.

Can I convert DXF to AI?

Choose the AI output: an Illustrator-readable PDF-based AI file with the same vector paths.

Can you read DWG?

Yes, in your browser: AutoCAD R13 to 2018 files, with the exception of the 2007 format, which is refused with a message rather than misread. Lines, arcs, circles, polylines, splines, ellipses, blocks and layers are read; text and hatch fills are counted and reported but not drawn. DWG can be written too, as AutoCAD 2000, which every current CAD program opens.

What DXF version do you write?

R2000 by default, which current CAD and CAM packages read. R12 is available for older controllers.

Will my layers survive?

Layer names and colours are kept, and layers that were off or frozen stay that way. Blocks are exploded into their shapes; attributes and paper-space layouts are not carried across.
