Can I convert KDP images to Word?
Yes: KDP images converter to Word is one click. "Download book (Word .docx)" gives a Word document at your page size, one coloring page a page, with the same margins and blank backs as the PDF. Add a title or copyright page in Word, then upload the .docx or save it as PDF.
Is there a KDP royalty calculator here?
Not on this page. Amazon's own royalty calculator is in the KDP pricing step: paperback royalty is 60% of the list price minus the printing cost, which depends on page count, ink and marketplace.
Can I upload a 20-page PDF?
Yes. Every page of the PDF becomes a coloring page, in order, cut to its artwork.
Which pictures work best?
Pictures with clear, flat areas of colour: cartoons, clip art, logos, flat illustrations. A photograph has soft shading instead of edges, and makes a busy page; use a simplified drawing of it instead.
What trim size do coloring books use?
8.5 x 11 inches is the usual one, and the default here. KDP also prints 8 x 10, 8.25 x 11 and others; pick the one you chose when you set up the paperback.
Should I choose bleed?
Only if art should run to the very edge of the page. Coloring pages normally sit inside a white border, so most books are set up without bleed; the choice here must match the one made on KDP.
Do I own the pages?
You own what you made from pictures you have the rights to. Converting someone else's character or artwork into a coloring page does not give you the right to sell it.
