Gerber to PNG

Render Gerber files to a PNG of the board, top or bottom, at 300 to 2400 DPI: for documentation, a product page, or checking a board before you order it.

100%

How it works

  1. Add the Gerber files

Drop the zip your CAD program made, or the Gerber and drill files themselves. They are read in your browser.

  2. Check the board

Each layer is named from its attributes or file name. See the top, the bottom and the layer stack, and zoom into any part.

  3. Download

The board as PNG or SVG, or a layer as SVG, PDF or DXF, all at real size.

Gerber to PNG: the board drawn as it will look, in the mask colour and copper finish you pick (green, red, blue, black, white, purple; ENIG gold, HASL silver or bare copper), at 300 to 2400 DPI.

Use it as a Gerber to image step for a product page, a crowdfunding update or an order check. A PCB render online with no account and no upload.

PCB layout images and fabrication images from your own files

A PCB layout image made from the Gerbers is the board as the fab will make it, not a screenshot of the editor: drop the zip from KiCad, EasyEDA, Eagle or Altium, pick the mask colour and finish, and save the top or the bottom at 300 to 2400 DPI. That is the picture to put on a product page, in a manual or in an order check, and the layer views (one layer at a time, PNG or SVG) serve as PCB fabrication images for a review or an assembly drawing. These are renders of your own board, free, in your browser; for PCB images free download without a design of your own, press "Try a sample board" and save the sample render. This page has no library of stock photos.

Why it matters

Nothing uploaded

Unreleased boards and client work stay on your computer. Everything runs in this tab.

Real size, always

Every output is in millimetres at 1:1. Printed masks carry a 50 mm bar so you can check the printer.

Read like a fab reads it

Apertures, macros, arcs, regions, clear polarity and step-and-repeat, checked against KiCad's own plots and gerbv.

Questions

Which files can I open?

Gerber RS-274X (with or without X2 attributes) from KiCad, EasyEDA, Eagle, Altium, OrCAD, DipTrace and gEDA, and Excellon drill files. A zip of all of them works.

Is my board uploaded?

No. The files are read in this browser tab.
